Skills are sharpening, teams are growing, relationships are deepening, and time is speeding.
It's hard to believe there is barely more than a month left for me down here in Charlotte. While the kids and I both know that our time together is coming to a close, that has only increased the amount of meaningful words, quality time, and laughs between us.
Enjoy some photos, videos, and brief stories from Tournaments , Church , Block Party, and the last few weeks!
Our Under 10 boys getting ready for their Sunday afternoon game!
The all-star cast of Woodbridge Urban Eagles performing their "Hall of Faith" skit for everyone at the last Urban Eagle soccer tournament of the fall. They did a FANTASTIC job!
I imagine the dining room table in heaven will look a lot more like this than we realize!
Myself, Jessica and Travis Jones (two of my favorite urban eagle coaches, and newest best friends) enjoying some BBQ and Takis at the Greirheights Block Party
TRUE STORY::At the block party, we served dinner to around 300 people. The last couple came up to the table and there was only one plate of food left. We willingly gave it to them, but we were sorry we didn't have a plate for each of them (they appeared very hungry). As they walked away, one of the servers turned around to see one last plate, already prepared for them, that hadn't been there before. It may not be 5,000 with bread and fish, but how incredible is our God's LOVE to provide for everyone! Matthew 14:13-21
Everyone enjoying the block party, which featured a Rap Concert, basketball tournament, food, bonfire, and lots and lots of love
From L-R::Yeferson (featured in the pingpong video), Alan, myself, and Reynaldo after Sunday school.
The absolute privilege of being prayed for and commissioned by the next generation, it's not that I'm leaving them on December 13th. THEY ARE SENDING ME, to share the love and joy they've poured into my life the last 4 months.
May my ceiling be their floor, may they seek higher heights than they ever thought possible.
